What we supply

Interior doors for builders and contractors

Interior doors are the doors between the rooms of a suite or a house. We supply them for new multi-unit buildings, houses and renovations in Winnipeg, made in our group's own facilities in Turkey (TRIA).

A door in a fire separation is a different product: for those openings, choose one of our fire-rated doors. Cabinet doors are part of our kitchen cabinets.

Code notes

Two rules that shape an order

Interior doors carry fewer rules than doors in fire separations, but two of them matter for the order.

  1. Fire separations

A door needs a fire rating when it sits in a fire separation, such as the door between a suite and a public corridor (Subsection 3.1.8). The designer of record marks those openings on the drawings.

  2. Formaldehyde

Doors with composite wood parts, such as a fibreboard core or skin, can fall under Canada's formaldehyde emission regulations and carry a bilingual compliance label (SOR/2021-148).

These notes follow the 2024 Manitoba Building Code, which adopts the National Building Code of Canada 2020 with Manitoba amendments, as checked in October 2026. Article numbers are those of that code; none of the cited articles is amended in Manitoba. The designer of record and the authority having jurisdiction decide what each project needs.

What buyers ask for

What to send for a quote

A quote starts from the door schedule. These are the details we ask about.

  1. Door schedule

Sizes, handing and quantities for each suite type, from your drawings.

  2. Slabs or frames

Whether the doors should arrive as slabs or with their frames, so we can confirm what our production supplies.

  3. Core and finish

The core and the surface you have in mind for each room.

  4. Hardware

The locksets and hinges you plan, so we can confirm how the doors are prepared for them.

  5. Timing

The schedule of the project, so the quote can reflect it.

Questions about interior doors

  • What interior doors do you supply?

QUIX Group supplies interior doors for the rooms of suites and houses, made in our group's own facilities in Turkey (TRIA). Send your door schedule, and we confirm the sizes, cores and finishes our production can make for it.

  • Do interior doors need a fire rating?

A door needs a fire rating when it sits in a fire separation, such as the door between a suite and a public corridor. The designer of record marks those openings on the drawings, and for them QUIX Group supplies fire-rated doors with a Canadian certification label.

  • What should a request for interior doors include?

A request starts with the door schedule from your drawings: sizes, handing and quantities for each suite type. Add the core and finish you have in mind and the hardware you plan, and we confirm what our production can make.

  • Do interior doors need a formaldehyde label?

Doors with composite wood parts, such as a fibreboard core or skin, can fall under Canada's formaldehyde emission regulations for composite wood products. Those regulations call for a bilingual compliance label naming the manufacturer, importer or seller and the month and year of manufacture. Ask for the label details of the door you choose.

  • Do you supply interior doors for renovations?

QUIX Group supplies interior doors for renovations as well as for new multi-unit buildings and houses in Winnipeg. For a renovation, list each opening with its size and handing, and we confirm the sizes, cores and finishes our production can make for it.
