Slab kitchen cabinet doors
One flat panel, nothing to frame it.
A slab door is a single flat panel with no frame and no profile. Ours come with PVC, PET or melamine faces, and every room in our collection shows its finish on slab doors.
Slab
What a slab door is
A slab door is cut from one board and finished on its face and edges, so nothing breaks the surface except the handle, if there is one. It is sometimes called a flat-front door. Some makers call it flat panel, but that name is also used for framed doors with a flat centre panel, which is why we say slab.

Materials and finishes
How it is made
The core is a board, MDF or particleboard, faced front and back and closed along its cut edges with edge banding. A high gloss face mirrors the room around it; a matt face keeps it calm.
What we offer
PVC-faced MDF in high gloss white, high gloss grey and matt white.
PET-faced MDF in a range of base colours.
Melamine-faced chipboard in plain colours and wood grains, from the catalogues of Uniboard, EGGER and Tafisa, brands we work with.
The twenty-three finishes of our collection, in high gloss, soft touch and a brushed inox look.
The collection, on slab doors

Where it suits
Modern and minimal kitchens, where the doors should read as one surface.
Handleless kitchens and long runs of tall units.
Small kitchens, where a light high gloss face reflects the room.
Care
Wipe with a soft cloth, water and a mild detergent, then dry.
Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powder and solvent cleaners, which can dull or scratch the face.
Questions about slab doors
What is a slab cabinet door?
A slab cabinet door is one flat panel with no frame, no raised centre and no profile. It is the plainest door a cabinet can have, which is why it suits modern kitchens.
Is a slab door the same as a flat panel door?
Not always: some makers say flat panel for a slab door, while others mean a framed door with a flat centre panel. QUIX Group says slab for the one-piece door and shaker for the framed one.
What are slab doors made of?
QUIX Group's slab doors are a core board with a decorative face: PVC or PET film on MDF, or melamine on chipboard. Laminated boards are closed along their cut edges with edge banding.
Do slab doors come in high gloss?
Yes, slab doors come in high gloss: PVC-faced MDF in high gloss white and grey, and the high gloss finishes of the QUIX Group collection. Matt white and soft touch faces give a low-sheen look instead.
How do I clean slab cabinet doors?
Clean slab doors with a soft cloth, water and a mild detergent, then dry them. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which can dull or scratch a high gloss or matt face.
