CNC cabinet manufacturing in our workshop

Drawn, cut and edged, then installed.

We measure the room and draw the cabinets in Mozaik. The parts are nested and cut on a KRC CNC Fantom router and edged on a NOTE 601N edge bander, then the cabinets are assembled and installed by our team.

From line to panel

Four steps from a drawing to a kitchen

One Mozaik drawing carries a kitchen from the first measurement to installation.

  1. Mozaik cabinet design software showing the plan of an L shaped cabinet run with dimensions in millimetres

    Measure and draw

We measure the room, then draw the cabinets in Mozaik, cabinet design software. The drawing places the cabinets in the room and gives the workshop its parts list.

  2. CNC router control station with a monitor and emergency stop in front of the router gantry

    Cut

The parts are nested on full sheets and cut on the KRC CNC Fantom nesting router, following the parts list from the drawing.

  3. NOTE 601N edge bander with its control panel, dust hoses and boxes of edge banding

    Edge

The cut panels then run through the NOTE 601N edge bander, which bands their exposed edges.

  4. Assembly and installation by our team

    Assemble and install

The cabinets are assembled, then installed in the room by our team.

Materials

Where the materials come from

The flooring and doors of our construction materials line are made in the group's own facilities in Turkey (TRIA). TRIA also supplies and exports raw materials for kitchen cabinet and furniture manufacturing, and the panels and cabinet hardware of our woodworking line come from the brands we work with.

Questions about manufacturing

  • How are QUIX Group kitchen cabinets made?

QUIX Group kitchen cabinets are drawn in Mozaik, cut on a KRC CNC Fantom nesting router and edged on a NOTE 601N edge bander. The QUIX Group team then assembles the cabinets and installs them in the room.

  • What is CNC nesting?

CNC nesting is a way of cutting cabinet parts: the parts are laid out together on a full sheet and a computer controlled router cuts them out. At QUIX Group this is done on a KRC CNC Fantom nesting router.

  • What does an edge bander do?

An edge bander applies a strip of edge banding to the cut edge of a panel. QUIX Group bands its cabinet panels on a NOTE 601N edge bander.

  • Does QUIX Group measure and install the cabinets?

Yes, QUIX Group measures the room before the drawing starts and installs the cabinets once they are made. Drawings or measurements you already have are welcome, but they are not needed.

  • Which software does QUIX Group design cabinets in?

QUIX Group designs its cabinets in Mozaik, cabinet design software. The same drawing gives the room layout and the parts list that the workshop cuts from.

  • Where are the construction materials made?

The flooring and doors of the construction materials line are made in the group's own facilities in Turkey (TRIA). The panels and hardware of the woodworking line come from the brands QUIX Group works with.

Start with a drawing, or without one

Send measurements or plans if you have them, or simply describe the room. We measure it, and the drawing in Mozaik starts from there.
